Blockchain case of Raw Honey

Raw Honey is honey that can be traced down to a specific bee hive. That is the contrary of current mass market uniform quality industry honey. The difference is that you know where raw honey comes from in detail whereas industrial honey is ..umm industrial.

We had a privilege to do a student project with the Finance Research Unit of Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences on blockchain-based business model for raw honey. It was not an easy topic. And we brought the payments to the model, too. All the sudden it did not look like a traditional supply chain case anymore but something that really questions the basic building blocks of the industry.

Students got their project accomplished and we got puzzled due to size of the potential change among other things. What we know for sure is that experimentation is the road forward.

Great job from student team: Stefan Petrov, Amaya Hundal, Taisiia Zinakova, Ada Brotkin, Mei Yan-Koponen and Lecturer in Charge: Shab Hundal.
